The English Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera was created in 1967 by Elmer Gantry, Colin Forster, John Ford, Richard Hudson, who, summarizing their experiences and adding to their mod and r&b several doses of psychedelic pleasure, always in the standards of English bands such as Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Who etc. Recorded their first and only album in 1968, an album full of songs that caught the eye of the of English pop/mod/psych culture. Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera had an inexhaustible talent which they generously and they gave us in songs such as Mary Jane, the fascinating Walter Sly Meets Bill Bailey, the Flames, the sitar / psychedelic masterpiece Air, as well as the extraordinarily wonderful Dream Starts, Reactions of A Young Man, Now She's Gone.
