ENERGY GOWN Evening Molasses

I accidentally listened to Ra.a.acing Snakes and I really felt my brain spinning from left to right!! It formed a spiral and the entire mutation into something completely dome and shattered was a matter of 31 minutes. That's how long this lysergic freak-out acid garage and psychotically unrepeatable album titled Evening Molasses by Energy Gown lasts. In their songs, bands like Red Crayola, Deep, Floyd's “At The Paper”, Velvet, Elevators swim trying to save themselves. Their sound is a hard cloud full of scattered cacti and every thorn that touches us leads us to dark psychedelic deserts full of colors! Energy gowns burn in an exciting way, they make and invite us on a journey of great and insatiable intensity.

Songs like One Whig, Ra.a.acing Snakes, Free Dose, Port Man Tow, Pitch Drops On The Atmos Clock, Day Man, Round House penetrate the depths of the brain, get to know every cell there personally and then blow them up in a gentle way!! Then comes the instrumental Overflow For Being Grown to blow up the same cells again and again until they unite again to bid us farewell with the two most human songs, the somehow garage Doc Silver's Hoop Laws with the singer's scream haunting our spine and the very small and harmless 7 Circle F.

One of the most cataclysmic neo-psychedelic albums I've ever heard and which I can say with certainty that it caused me to remember "We Are" by my beloved Laughing Soup Dish back in the 80s.

Look for the vinyl or if you download it - it's free - send a few dollars for this band. Who knows, these guys might get back together and freak-out us again.
