 Το D-Day είναι μια κυκλοφορία αφιέρωμα στους Grateful Dead από γερμανικά συγκροτήματα και καλλιτέχνες. Μην περιμένετε να ακούσετε και τόσο…πιστές αντιγραφές των τραγουδιών αυτής της τόσο σπουδαίας μπάντας των 60ς. τα συγκροτήματα επιλέγουν να παίξουν τα τραγούδια του J. Garcia και της παρέας του με πιο σύγχρονο τρόπο. Άλλες μπάντες χρησιμοποιούν πιο ηλεκτρονικούς ήχους, άλλες ακροβατούν σε dub/reggae μονοπατια, κάντρυ, φολκ, ποπ ήχοι κλπ είναι επίσης εδώ. Markus M. Steinbach, Sparifankal, Temple of L.I.B., Tom Liwa, The Last Temple, Blind Joe Black and Toni Marika, Phillip Eisenblättler, Wuide Wachl, είναι τα ονόματα που συμμετέχουν, εγώ όμως κόλλησα με τις εκδοχές των  The Lost Verses, Fit & Limo (υπέροχh acid folk εκδοχή στο Dark Star) και φυσικά στους καταπληκτικούς  Cosmic Kangoroos (γκαραζοψυχεδέλεια με ολίγη από Floyd στο Cardboard Cowboy). 

D-Day is a Grateful Dead tribute release with German bands and artists. Don't expect to hear so much...faithful versions of the songs of this great 60's band. the bands choose to play the songs of J. Garcia and his company in a more contemporary way. Other bands use more electronic sounds, others acrobat in dub/reggae paths, country, folk, pop sounds etc are also here. Markus M. Steinbach, Sparifankal, Temple of L.I.B., Tom Liwa, The Last Temple, Blind Joe Black and Toni Marika, Phillip Eisenblättler, Wuide Wachl, are the names involved, but I stuck with the versions of The Lost Verses, Fit & Limo (great acid folk version on Dark Star) and of course the amazing band of Cosmic Kangoroos (garage psychedelia with a bit of Floyd, on Cardboard Cowboy).
