Ok, who doesn’t know the Countdown 5 from Texas? Here, in this collection there are three of their singles, Uncle Kirby (From Brazil)/Speculation of '67, Time To Spare/Elevator of '68, and Shaka Shaka Na Na/Money Man of '69. Also, if I remember well Sweet Talk and Candy, they had appeared in some compi. But the essence in this vinyl is in the rest of the songs, which were recorded between '67 and '68 and are unreleased!! Good Woman, Beneath My Rug, One Way Traffic, Sally Greene, which is great garage/psych songs with the distinctive sound of Texas! Unfair To Me, an exquisite psychedelic song that brought to mind the legendary American Blues of Do Their Thing, and I Gotta Keep What I Take a wonderful garage/pop with great guitar playing!

Εντάξει, ποιός δεν γνωρίζει τους τεξανούς Countdown 5; Εδώ, σε αυτή τη συλλογή υπάρχουν τρία από τα σινγκλάκια τους, το  Uncle Kirby (From Brazil)/ Speculation του ’67, το Time To Spare/Elevator του ’68, καθώς και το Shaka Shaka Na Na/Money Man του ’69. Επίσης, αν θυμάμαι καλά τα Sweet Talk και Candy, είχαν εμφανιστεί σε κάποια συλλογή. Η ουσία όμως σε αυτό το βινύλιο βρίσκεται στα υπόλοιπα τραγούδια, τα οποία είχαν ηχογραφηθει μεταξύ ’67 και ’68 και είναι ακυκλοφόρητα!! Τα Unfair To Me, Good Woman, I Gotta Keep What I Take, Beneath My Rug, One Way Traffic, Sally Greene, τ α οποία είναι εξαιρετικά garage/psych τραγούδια με τον χαρακτηριστικό ήχο του Τέξας! Ιδιαίτερα τα Unfair To Me, ένα ψυχεδελικό κομψοτέχνημα, το οποίο μου έφερε στο μυαλό του θρυλικούς American Blues του Do Their Thing, αλλά και το I Gotta Keep What I Take ένα θαυμάσιο γκαράζ/ποπ με υπέροχο παίξιμο στην κιθάρα!
