At last!!! After long wait, which lasted for 24 whole years, the masters of the Greek (and not only) garage scene are back here with a brand new album!
The Explosion, for those who don’t know them (ha!) were created in 1991 and they managed to release an album (Teen Trash Volume 14: From Athens, Greece - in 94) and three singles (Hangover Baby/Some Other Guy in - 93, I'll Shake The Universe/Why Can’t You See  - in 94, Another Lie/Misirlou The Greek - in 95). They reunited in 2000, they released another one single (The Last Recordings EP – in ΄00), while they shared another one with the Basements from Thessalonica (Every Day and Every Night – in ΄13). By the end of the ΄17 they began recording their new album, which was released two weeks ago by Lost In Tyme records (a very cool label from Nafpaktos) on vinyl and cd.
14 explosive songs, full of fuzz, full of farfisa, screaming, the absolute live garage band returned and I can say with absolute certainty that by watching them from their first gιgs and recordings back to the 90s, I really listening to these new songs I feel like it didn΄t pass all this time ever since!
Same tension in the voice, amazing feeling and songs that stir you up! I'm stuck with in my grave, don’t shoot my down, you better run, the invincible moody girl of my dreams, girl of my life, the cause you lie, don’t try my love, in your eyes, the amazing garage hymn of the last years baby baby bye bye, with the frenzied vocals and of course the last song of the album, the incredible garage/psych through space and tyme!
The Sound Explosion’s album, beyond all the rest, is also a good opportunity to spread again the garage sound of 80s revival to the young people!!

Επιτέλους!!! Ύστερα από μεγάλη αναμονή, η οποία κράτησε 24 ολόκληρα χρόνια, οι αφέντες της ελληνικής (και όχι μόνο) γκαράζ σκηνής είναι ξανά εδώ με ολοκαίνουργιο άλμπουμ!

Οι Explosion, για όσους δεν τους γνωρίζουν (χα!) είχαν δημιουργηθεί το 1991 και κατάφεραν έως το 1997 που διαλύθηκαν, να κυκλοφορήσουν ένα άλμπουμ (Teen Trash Volume 14: From Athens, Greece το ΄94) και τρία σίνγκλακια (Hangover Baby/Some Other Guy το ΄93, I'll Shake The Universe/Why Can't You See το ΄94, Another Lie/Misirlou The Greek το ΄95). Επανενώθηκαν το 2000, κυκλοφόρησαν άλλο ένα σινγκλ (The Last Recordings EP το ΄00), ενώ μοιράστηκαν άλλο ένα με τους εκ Θεσσαλονίκης Basements (με το Every day and night το ΄13). Προς το τέλος του ΄17 άρχισαν τις ηχογραφήσεις του νέου τους άλμπουμ το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε πριν 2 βδομάδες από την Ναυπακιώτικη Lost In Tyme records σε βινύλιο και cd.

14 εκρηκτικά τραγούδια, γεμάτα fuzz, γεμάτα αδυσσώπητη farfisa, η απόλυτη συναυλιακή γκαράζ μπάντα επέστρεψε και μπορώ να πω με απόλυτη βεβαιότητα οτι παρακολουθώντας τους από τις πρώτες τους συναυλίες και ηχογραφήσεις πίσω στα 90ς, πραγματικά ακούγοντας τα νέα τους αυτά τραγούδια νιώθω σαν να μην πέρασε όλος αυτός ο καιρός από τότε!

Ίδια ένταση στη φωνή, καταπληκτικές συνθέσεις και τραγούδια που σε ξεσηκώνουν θες δε θες! Κόλλησα με τα in my grave, don’t shoot my down, τον δυναμίτη you better run, την αθεράπευτη moodια girl of my dreams, girl of my life, τα cause you lie, don’t try my love, in your eyes, τον γκαράζ ύμνο των τελευταίων χρόνων baby baby bye bye, με τα λυσσασμένα φωνητικά και φυσικά με το τελευταίο τραγούδι του δίσκου, το απίθανο garage/psych through space and tyme!

Ο δίσκος των Sound Explosion, πέρα απο όλα τα υπόλοιπα, είναι και μια καλή ευκαιρία να εντρυφήσουν στον γκαράζ αναβιωτικό αλλά και τον ορίτζιναλ σίξτις ήχο και οι πιτσιρικάδες!
