The Ivory Elephant is an Australian band and Stoneface is their second album. In this they have created a psychedelic guitar wall on a solid and powerful blues basis! And they give their mark with the song that opens their album, The Storm, which starts slowly and psychedelically and then transforms into a guitar hard storm! Great is wars, a song that alternates psychedelic with blues sounds. Low expectation is a fascinating and very earnest song, while their two most psychedelic songs are stoneface jamboree and stoneface, the first is a trip to the east, with the sitar giving the rhythm, while the second is closer to the blues references of the band! But what really caught my mind is the roll on with its exquisitely groovy sound.
An album wrapped in guitars, in fuzz, the recording is psychedelic enough and some of the songs are impressive!

Οι Ivory Elephant είναι μια μπάντα από την Αυστραλία και το Stoneface είναι το δευτερο άλμπουμ τους. Σε αυτό έχουν δημιουργήσει ένα κιθαριστικό ψυχεδελικό τείχος πάνω σε ατόφια και δυνατή blues βάση! Και δίνουν το στίγμα τους με το τραγούδι το οποίο ανοίγει το άλμπουμ τους, το storm, το οποίο ξεκινάει αργά και ψυχεδελικά και στη συνέχεια μεταμορφώνεται σε μια κιθαριστική καταιγίδα! Εξίσου καλό είναι και το wars, τραγούδι που εναλλάσσει ψυχεδελικούς με blues ήχους. To low expectation είναι ένα συναρπαστικό και πολύ μπιτάτο τραγούδι, ενώ τα δυο πιο ψυχεδελικά τραγούδια τους είναι τα stoneface jamboree και stoneface, το πρώτο είναι ένα πλατσούρισμα στην ανατολή, με το σιτάρ να δίνει τον ρυθμό, ενώ το δεύτερο είναι πιο κοντά στις blues αναφορές της μπάντας! Αυτό όμως που μου πήρε το μυαλό είναι το roll on με τον έξοχο γκρουβαριστό ήχο του.

Άλμπουμ το οποίο είναι τυλιγμένο στις κιθάρες, στο fuzz, η ηχογράφηση είναι αρκούντως ψυχεδελική και ορισμένα τραγούδια εντυπωσιακά!

CUSTARD FLUX Echo

I have a particular weakness in music   of Gregory Curvey! Either with The Luck Of Eden Hall the previous years or Custard Flux for a few years now. The band's previous album titled Helium was just great!! Here, at Echo, there are no significant differences. Genius pop-psych songs, with a keen look at sixties, mostly inspired by the english bands, exquisite melodic moments such as the gold in which the piano sounds wonderful, the unique and utterly wonderful extraordinary man, America, the fascinating  the pink Indians, the glittering suns and daughters with the fantastic guitars etc. 
Custard Flux is a stand out band!!
Έχω μια ιδιαίτερη αδυναμία στη μουσική που γράφει ο Gregοry Curvey! Είτε με τους The Luck Of Eden Hall πιο παλιά ή με τους Custard Flux εδώ και λίγα χρόνια. Το προηγούμενο άλμπουμ της μπάντας με τίτλο Helium ήταν απλά εξαιρετικό!! Εδώ, στο Echo, δεν υπάρχουν σημαντικές διαφορές. Ιδιοφυή pop-psych τραγούδια, διαποτισμένα με μια έντονη ματιά στα σίξτις, κυρίως εμπνευσμένα από τα εγγλέζικα συγκροτήματα, έξοχες μελωδικές στιγμές όπως στο gold στο οποίο το πιάνο ηχεί υπέροχα, το μοναδικό και εντελώς υπέροχο extraordinary man, το America, το συναρπαστικό και περισσότερο από όλα τα υπόλοιπα πιο κοντά στα εγγλέζικα σίξτις ποπ γκρουπ, pink Indians, το λαμπερό suns and daughters με τις φανταστικές κιθάρες κλπ. Οι Custard Flux είναι μια μπάντα που ξεχωρίζει!!
