Church of Hed The Fifth Hour

Θυμάμαι σαν να είναι τώρα, την μέρα που οι Quarkspace μου είχαν στείλει την τότε κυκλοφορία τους με τίτλο Hidden Moon. Ένα διπλό σιντι, μια από τις κορυφαίες space κυκλοφορίες που έχουν βγει ποτέ!! Έκτοτε, συνέχιζαν να μου στέλνουν τις κυκλοφορίες τους και με το πέρασμα των χρόνων ο  Paul Williams δημιούργησε τους

Church of Hed.  Αυτή είναι η τελευταία τους  κυκλοφορία στην οποία τον Paul Williams )synths, keyboards, sequences, beats, drumming) συνοδεύουν οι Jonathan Segel (των θρυλικών Camper Van Beethoven)  βιολί, κιθάρα, μπάσο και Stan Lyon (Quarkspace) μπάσο, synth. 9 κομμάτια συνολικής διάρκειας κοντά στην μια ώρα, οι ήχοι εναλλάσσονται μεταξύ του αυτοσχεδιασμού, εννοείται της ηλεκτρονικής  space μουσικής, βυθίζεται κυρίως στην  

Kosmische σχολή, καθώς και σε αχανής εκτάσεις οι οποίες ταλαντεύονται ανάμεσα στους Yes, Hawkwind, Can κλπ

Τα άλμπουμ των Church of Hed είναι μια άλλη όψη της αντίληψης που έχουμε για το πώς προκαλούνται τα ταξίδια στο ανεξάντλητο διάστημα όταν αυτό γίνεται με την βοήθεια μόνο της μουσικής.

I remember like it's now, the day that the Quarkspace sent me their then release called Hidden Moon. A double CD, one of the best space releases ever!! Since then, they kept sending me their releases and over the years Paul Williams formed Church of Hed. This is their latest release in which Paul Williams (synths, keyboards, sequences, beats, drumming) is joined by Jonathan Segel (of the legendary Camper Van Beethoven) violin, guitar, bass and Stan Lyon (Quarkspace) bass, synth. Nine  tracks with a total duration of close to an hour, the sounds alternate between improvisation, of course electronic space music, immersed mainly in the Kosmische school, as well as in vast expanses that oscillate between Yes, Hawkwind, Can etc.

Church of Hed's albums are another aspect of our perception of how travel through endless space is induced when it is done with the help of music alone.
