Van Buren Wheels consisted of Jaime Paul Lamp-vox continental, Vince Boccini-voice, Steve Shelton-guitar, Chrissy Hewlett-drums while before reaching the bassist Brew Kerr,(four in five were taxi drivers!!!) had passed and the Danny Hawkins, Scott Kalkbrenner. Van Buren was the name of an infamous street in Phoenix with prostitution, drugs, etc, and also 4 out of 5 were occasionally heroin users and the band dissolved in 2009 because of the death of Boccini on stage. Their sound was an unrivaled combination of garage/punk, r'n'b, beat and was based on the great vox organ of Boccini.With top track the amazing moody judy, a great song ala meanie geanie, the garage (she got) green eyes and very fantastic moody soon I'll be gone (c'mon and be mine, hang out with me, wicked lies are the other three tracks), I think Van Buren Wheels earn a place in my difficult taste of garage bands that I like so much !!

Τους Van Buren Wheels τους αποτελούσαν οι (4 στους πέντε ήταν ταξιτζήδες!!!) Jaime Paul Lamp-vox continental, Vince Boccini-φωνή, Steve Shelton-κιθάρα, Chrissy Hewlett-τύμπανα, ενώ προτού καταλήξουν στον μπασίστα Brew Kerr, είχαν περάσει και οι Danny Hawkins, Scott Kalkbrenner. Van Buren ήταν το όνομα ενός κακόφημου δρόμου στο Phoenix με πορνεία, ναρκωτικά κλπ, ενώ επίσης, οι 4 στους 5 ήταν κατά καιρούς χρήστες ηρωίνης και η μπάντα διαλύθηκε το 2009 εξαιτίας του θανάτου του Boccini πάνω στην σκηνή. Ο ήχος τους ήταν ένα ασυναγώνιστο πάντρεμα γκαράζ, πανκ, r’n’b, beat και στηριζόταν στο vox όργανο του Boccini. 10΄΄ ή σε δυο εφτάρια η απόλαυση είναι η ίδια! Με κορυφαία, το καταπληκτικό moody judy, ένα τραγούδι αλά meanie geanie, την γκαραζιά του (she got) green eyes και το φανταστικό moody soon I’ll be gone (c’mon and be mine, hang out with me, wicked lies τα άλλα τρία), νομίζω ότι οι Van Buren Wheels κερδίζουν μια θέση στα ελάχιστα γκαράζ συγκροτήματα που μου αρέσουν τόσο πολύ!!
