The Crystal Pool of Root Deco is a modern hard/rock album with hard or less hard guitars, beautiful vocals and sound that evoking at the 70s. And no, Root Deco don’t play original 70ς music but at least it is not another album by a boring band that likes to play this kind of music. Their compositions sound more "honest" by hundreds of other compositions of corresponding bands since their sound is absolutely authentic! Okay, so it’s not the kind I prefer, but I have no problem to admit that, dead by morning and big parade is very well, as the most hard/blues what's with you. But what stands out is the cover version of deserted cities of the heart of Cream where Root Deco play fantastically with an acid rock tinge. Fans of authentic 70s sound will be thrilled.

Το Crystal Pool των Root Deco είναι ένα σύγχρονο hard/rock άλμπουμ, με σκληρές ή λιγότερο σκληρές κιθάρες, όμορφα φωνητικά και ήχο που παραπέμπει στα 70ς. Και όχι, οι Root Deco δεν πρωτοτυπούν με τη μουσική που παίζουν αλλά τουλάχιστον δεν είναι άλλο ένα άλμπουμ ενός βαρετού συγκροτήματος που αρέσκεται στο να αναμασάει αυτού του είδους τη μουσική. Οι συνθέσεις τους ακούγονται πιο «έντιμες» από εκατοντάδες άλλες συνθέσεις αντίστοιχων συγκροτημάτων μιας και ο ήχος τους ακούγεται εντελώς αυθεντικός! Εντάξει, και έτσι δεν είναι το είδος που προτιμώ αλλά δεν έχω πρόβλημα να παραδεχτώ ότι τα, dead by morning και big parade είναι πολύ καλά, όπως και το πιο hard/blues what’s with you. Όμως αυτό που ξεχωρίζει είναι η διασκευή στο deserted cities of the heart των Cream όπου οι Root Deco παίζουν φανταστικά και με μια acid rock χροιά. Οι φίλοι του αυθεντικού 70ς ήχου θα ενθουσιαστούν.
