Οι Cloud Nine & The Vitamin C ήταν μια γερμανική μπάντα η οποία προερχόταν την Rhine-Main μια περιοχή κοντά στις πόλεις Darmstadt, Heidelberg και στο Μόναχο. Τα δυο άτομα τα οποία ήταν από την αρχή της μπάντας ως το τέλος ήταν ο τραγουδιστής και κημπορντίστας Dominic Engel και ο μπασίστας και στα φωνητικά Mike Schroder (Mike Floyd). Οι κιθαρίστες αλλά και οι ντράμερ της μπάντας άλλαζαν τακτικά και έτσι σε αυτές τις ηχογραφήσεις του 1992 μαζι με τους δυο παραπάνω ήταν και ο Chris A. Own στα τύμπανα, ο Pete Hergo στην κιθάρα, φωνητικά και σιτάρ στο Sunspots και τέλος ο Christof Kohler ο οποίος έπαιξε φλάουτο στο Sunspots.
Οι ηχογραφήσεις περιλαμβάνουν 7 τραγούδια τα οποία μουσικά ξεκινούν από την ψυχεδέλεια, είναι βουτηγμένα σε γκαράζ ροκ αναθυμιάσεις, ενώ υπάρχουν διάσπαρτες αναφορές σε πιο new wave φόρμες.
Το ανυπέρβλητο δεκάλεπτο, Draw Down The Distance το οποίο ανοίγει το άλμπουμ ξεκινάει ελαφρώς μανιασμένα έως ότου προσγειωθεί στην χώρα των μανιταριών όπου για ένα πεντάλεπτο κιθάρες και κιμπορτς σκορπίζουν τις αισθήσεις μας στο άπειρο. Στα My Sunday On A Friday, Empty And Cold, It Makes No Difference και Call η μπάντα αφήνεται σε πιο γκαράζ ροκ ή κάτι τέτοιο, με τις κιθάρες και τα κιμπορτς να ζωγραφίζουν καταπληκτικές εικόνες στις καρδιές μας. Στο 9λεπτο Black Queen τα έντονα new wave στοιχεία μας ταξιδεύουν ενώ και εδώ τα keys είναι ασύλληπτα. Τέλος, το Sunspots είναι το πιο ψυχεδελικό τραγούδι του άλμπουμ. Ξεκινάει με τους μουσικούς να ακούγονται σαν να αυτοσχεδιάζουν μέχρι να βρουν τον κατάλληλο σκοπό, φλάουτο, μπάσο, τύμπανα, keys, κιθάρα, σιτάρ, όλα μαζί και το καθένα μόνο του, σαν μια μπάντα στο ασιντ, και όταν ετοιμαστούν μας παρουσιάζουν ένα μανιταρένιο ταξίδι στην ανατολή με την χρήση του σιτάρ να μαγεύει ολόκληρο το σύμπαν.
Εξαιρετική κυκλοφορία, εάν κυκλοφορούσε τότε,
το όνομα των Cloud Nine & The Vitamin C θα έμπαινε από τότε δίπλα στα τότε σημαντικότερα γκρουπ
της γερμανικής και ευρωπαϊκής νέο-ψυχεδελικής μουσικής.

Cloud Nine & The Vitamin C. were a German band from Rhine-Main, an area near the cities of Darmstadt, Heidelberg and Munich. The two people who were in the band from start to finish were singer and keyboardist Dominic Engel and bassist and vocalist Mike Schroder (Mike Floyd). The guitarists as well as the drummers of the band changed regularly and so in these recordings of 1992 together with the above two were also Chris A. Own on drums, Pete Hergo on guitar vocals and sitar in Sunspots and finally Christof Kohler who played flute on "Sunspots".
The recordings include 7 songs which musically start from psychedelia, are immersed in garage rock fumes, while there are scattered references to more new wave forms.
The insurmountable ten minute, Draw Down The Distance which opens the album starts out slightly frantic until it lands in the land of mushrooms where for five minutes guitars and keys scatter our senses into infinity. On My Sunday On A Friday, Empty And Cold, It Makes No Difference and Call the band let themselves into more garage rock or something, with the guitars and keys painting amazing pictures in our minds. In the 9-minute Black Queen, the intense new wave elements take us on a journey, while here again the keys are unimaginable. Finally, Sunspots is the most psychedelic song on the album. It starts with the musicians sounding like they're improvising until they find the right purpose, flute, bass, drums, keys, guitar, sitar, all together and each one alone, like a band on acid, and when they're ready they present us with a mushroom trip in the east with the use of the sitar to enchant the entire universe.
Now, the album of C.N. & V.C. is a documentary vinyl that seems to close an important puzzle of German neo-psychedelic music at the time.
