Guerssen
The English Neon Pearl were formed in 1967 by
Peter Dunton (Gun, Please, T2), and after some changes the band took its final
form and
consisted of Peter Dunton (drums/keyboards/vocals), Bernie Jinks
(bass) and Nick Spenser (guitar). The band recorded some amazing songs, full of
psychedelic/pop smells, which, however, didn’t pique the interest of any label, as a result of which they remained unreleased for many years, while Dunton
created the exquisite and supreme band of Please! Some of the songs of
Neon Pearl such as Dream Scream, Forever,
Urban Ways, What You See etc, are magical, extremely psychedelic and
lyrical. It is surprising that that tracks were not released then! Be that as
it may, the release of Guerssen comes for those who didn't get the reissue of
Acme a few years ago. Take it NOW!

Why? by
Maquina from Catalonia was first album released back in 1970 on the Diábolo
label and has since been considered one of the Spanish top psychedelic/prog
albums. Josep Maria “Tapi” Vilaseca (drums), Josep Maria París (fuzz guitar),
Luigi Cabanach (wah guitar), Enric Herrera (organ) and Jordi Batiste
(bass/flute/ vocals) in their first album offered us an unsurpassed album full
of fuzz and wah guitars, extremely colorful organ, wonderful flute and nice
vocals! Of course, the album features the eponymous 24-minute song split on
both sides of the vinyl, where the guitars derailments are maintained on earth
with the help of an excellent organ, as well as the drums. Of course, we must
not forget the great I believe that opens the album, one of the top songs that
had been recorded in Spain!! An album for those who have not had the chance to
get it until now, which is released of white vinyl of 300 copies.
The
Italian Beatersband have released 3 cd albums and 1 cd ep, while this is
their second single. They consist of Donatella Guida - voice/guitar/choirs,
Leonardo Serrini - bass, and Enrico Vanni - drums. They play punk rock, genuine
r’n’r that is, they are super melodic and they record small sharp songs that
vibrate our bodies. There are two songs here, Love I Can B W You and My
Mother Plays Rock'n'Roll, melodic and sticky. 100 black and 100 white
vinyls await the fans of this cool sound.

Cispisius is the latest release (double vinyl) from
these insurmountable Norwegians, Tangle Edge. These are actually recordings
made in the 90's. Here is the 58 minute beyond
the hills of inhibition which is divided into four parts and occupies, 3
whole sides and a little of the first one, after the almost 17 minute cancalam. Some of the recordings are
unreleased, some are mixed from the beginning. However, the 3 musicians prove
once again how much they are immersed in psychedelic and progressive sounds and
how amazing they are with their instruments. Hasse Horrigmoe, Ronald Nygård,
Kjell Oluf Johansen, start playing their songs and literally seem to reach the
ultimate nirvana, with absolute precision and absolute reverence! Amazing
musicians, amazing music, amazing release.
