Η ιρλανδέζικη μπάντα Tír na nÓg  σχηματίστηκε στο Δουβλίνο το 1969 και το γκρουπ αποτελούσαν οι Leo O'Kelly και Sonny Condell. Ηχογράφησαν τρία άλμπουμ  προτού ακολουθήσει ο καθένας τον δικό του δρόμο.  Το παρόν άλμπουμ περιλαμβάνει ηχογραφήσεις που έγιναν σε κάποιες ραδιοφωνικές εκπομπές. Στην πρώτη πλευρά υπάρχουν έξη από αυτές, ανάμεσα τους και μια πολύ ωραία και χίπικη διασκευή στο Maggie's Farm του Dylan. Στην δεύτερη πλευρά υπάρχουν άλλα έξι τραγούδια ζωντανά ηχογραφημένα μπροστά σε ένα ενθουσιώδες κοινό σε εκπομπή του John Peel αν δεν κάνω λάθος!  Ακουστική φολκ ή ακόμη και progressive φολκ, αυτή η μπάντα είχε το χάρισμα να γράφει ορισμένα έξοχα τραγούδια όπως το Tir na nÓg όπου σε αυτό το βινύλιο υπάρχει δυο φορές, και από συναυλία και από το στούντιο, το Daisy Lady, το Our Love Will Not Decay, το Looking Up και φυσικά το αριστούργημα τους το βελούδινο νανούρισμα Time Is Like a Promise.

Irish band Tír na nÓg formed in Dublin in 1969 by Leo O'Kelly and Sonny Condell. They recorded three albums before going their separate ways. This compilation includes recordings made on some radio broadcasts and some live tracks. On the first side, the radio broadcasts side, there are six tracks, among them a very nice and hippie cover version in Dylan's song the "Maggie's Farm". On the second side there are six more songs recorded live in front of an enthusiastic audience at a John Peel show if I'm not mistaken! Acoustic folk or even progressive folk, this band had the gift of writing some great songs like Tir na nÓg where on this vinyl it is twice, both in live and in the studio version, and the  "Daisy Lady", "Our Love Will Not Decay", "Looking Up" and last but not least of course their masterpiece the velvety lullaby of the excellent Time Is Like a Promise.
