The Swiss Ertlif was created in 1970 by guitarist Dany Andrey and bassist Teddy Riedo. Together with Harmonist James Mosberger, drummer Hanspeter "Bolle" Borlin and guitarist Martin Ruder. Their name was taken from a mysterious alchemist wizard of the Middle Ages! In this double vinyl, in one lp there is their first album, recorded in 1972 and in the second there are unreleased songs from the band's studio, as well as the very good Plastic Queen, which is taken from the album-collection " Heavenly and Heavy-Mixed Swiss Rock Candies.  "Their sound was colorful, was progressive, had psychedelic elements, was the genuine sound of 70s !! Some of their songs are really amazing !! The train of time, the song, the high and dry, and of course the unique walpurgis and the classical woman. And the bonus vinyl is amazing and contains some great examples of prog/rock music, such as the flying in the sky, seasons of atomic roses. Particular mention needs the trippy blues of the echo blues. An almost freak-out blues instro with the guitar playing indeed psychedelic!! Excellent re-release!

Οι Ελβετοί Ertlif δημιουργήθηκαν το 1970 από τον κιθαρίστα Dany Andrey και τον μπασίστα Teddy Riedo. Μαζί τους βρέθηκαν, ο αρμονίστας James Mosberger, ο ντράμερ Hanspeter “Bolle” Borlin και ο κιθαρίστας Martin Ruder. To όνομα τους το πήραν από έναν μυστηριώδη αλχημιστή μάγο του μεσαίωνα! Στο διπλό αυτό βινύλιο, στο ένα υπάρχει το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ, το οποίο ηχογραφήθηκε το 1972 και στο δεύτερο υπάρχουν ακυκλοφόρητα τραγούδια, από το στούντιο της μπάντας, καθώς επίσης και το πολύ καλό Plastic Queen, το οποίο είναι παρμένο από το άλμπουμ-συλλογή “Heavenly and Heavy-Mixed Swiss Rock Candies”. 

O ήχος τους ήταν πολύχρωμος, ήταν progressive, είχε ψυχεδελικά στοιχεία, ήταν γνήσιος ήχος των 70ς!! Ορισμένα από τα τραγούδια τους είναι πραγματικά έξοχα!! Το train of time, το the song, το high and dry, και φυσικά τα μοναδικά walpurgis και classical woman. Αλλά και το βινύλιο με τα bonus είναι καταπληκτικό και περιέχει μερικά εξαιρετικά δείγματα prog/rock μουσικής, όπως είναι τα flying in the sky, seasons of atomic roses. Ιδιαίτερη μνεία χρειάζεται το πειραγμένο blues του the echo blues. Ένα σχεδόν freak-out blues ίνστρο με την κιθάρα να παιχνιδίζει ψυχεδελικά!!
