ACID REICH Mistress of The Perpetual Harvest

Mental Experience

Acid Reich's Mistress of The Perpetual Harvest was first released on cassette by Cool Beans in 1989. Dave Wyndorf, Tim Cronin, John McBain, founding members of Monster Magnet, along with Shaune Kelley and Joe Paone, were responsible for this primitive, raw, album. An ode to acid, to fuzz, to wah wah, to echo and to screams. A rough album that was recorded on four channels and sounds like it comes straight from hell. Here are the three songs from the cassette, Black Sun, Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun and Theme, but luckily there are two more, Revenge Of Tim Boo Ba and Amazing Grace. The cover of Floyd's  Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun stands out , a 15-minute dive into a trembling unexplored state of mind, as well as the Black Sun, a dark, scary and lysergically poisoned arrow.                                      Let's flow our mind out with overdose of freak out!!!

NOAH Brain Such

 Guerssen

Finally!!! After a long wait, Noah's album from Ohio is officially released with the consent of the band itself. This means that on one vinyl there is their concept album just as it was recorded in 1972, while on the other vinyl there are the two singles (1967 and 1969) of Sound Barrier and for our delight some unreleased Noah's songs !!. From the garage Sound Barrier (of the inconceivable Hey hey, (My) Baby's Gone of the first 7 '') and the Markees were created the Noah, who left back the garage sound and turned to hard psychedelic!! With sound close to bands like Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, but also Oddysey or Mystic Shiva etc, Noah (Mark Schering-guitar + vocals, Larry Davis-drums, Paul Hess-bass + b vocals, Danny Hall-keyboards + b vocals) recorded one of the most impressive albums of this genre!! With plenty of masterpieces like Maybe You've Changed / Trouble / Still No Reason, Brainsuck, Goodbye Earth but also the unreleased wonderful psychedelic rock of demo Black Mother Nature. Noah was an exciting band, with the sound of Hammond organ being more than enchanting. Hurry up for your copy!!

ALIEN MUSTANGS The World As I Am

Lost In Tyme

Alien Mustangs is an excellent Greek psychedelic/garage rock band with several releases for labels from around the universe. This 7΄΄ (300 copies as usual for Lost In Tyme) is their third release for a Greek label. It include two songs, the truly magical The World As I Am, a song immersed in the revitalizing 60s moments (think The Electric Prunes) with fantastic guitars, a cool organ and wonderful vocals. On the other hand, Planet Bee has more current sound, loud guitars and drums, it is quite vagrant, you can feel in the air the Spacemen 3 or Wooden Shjips  and of course a drone mood to wander around. Top single, one of my fave from Lost In Tyme.
Stunning 7-inch vinyl wrapped in a hallucinogenic cover!!

DOCTORS OF SPACE Covid Sessions

Space Rock Productions

These doctors are two experts in space and how to cure it while traveling in it!! Dr. Space (Scott Heller) and Dr. Martin Weaver. Both of them, as genuine doctors of space, suggest us 9 treatments without, of course, any side effects!! Except of course the side effect of deep enjoyment as we ascend high to infinity. Okay, here one Dr. has taken over the synths and the other Dr. the drums, bass and guitars. The sounds that spring up on this 74-minute album are insurmountable space/rock music but sometimes the sounds, without moving away from it, throw other rays of different music, such as in Afro Ghost Ritual 47, where the drums seems to come from the depths of some forgotten tribal of the jungle (or another planet ?!). Or Funky Caca which is a demonized funk/space with guitars giving commands, bass and drums obeying and effects sending the song in other galaxies. Let me also tell you that From The Depths Of The Universe is simply one of the most futuristic songs of the last decade. So as not to tire you more, let me just tell you one more thing!! Doctors Of Space's Covid Sessions is an unexpectedly inspiring album that looks like the spacecraft leading the fleet with the mission of fully understanding the unexpected!

It is recommended for repeated listening until we feel the feeling that a black hole is attacking us!!

BLISS s/t

Out-Sider

The Bliss from Arizona, formed from the ashes of The Sect, a garage band with one single, around 1969. This new band made its appearance as a trio, with Martin (bass), Reed (guitar), Aldred (drums) and their sound much louder and harder than a  garage band. In terms of sound, they were closer to bands such as Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix, etc., adding of course plenty of blues touches, while also lacking some psychedelic elements. Fuzzy guitars, loud drums, lots of explosive moments and some covers of songs by Joe Tex, BB King etc. A heavy-psychedelic-blues album which had gone unnoticed until the mid-'00s. I think with this reissue it will get the right place in our vinyl library. Ride The Ship Of Fools (with psychedelic-guitar break) and Cry For Love are two amazing songs Great reissue!!
