Okay, I didn't know Fabienne Delsol. She comes from France and this is her fifth album. And really this one is a little revelation! From the song that opens the album, see how they run, Delsol gives us its musical stigma. Small airy psychedelic garage/pop gems featuring a melancholy similar with that of English band Broadcast! Distinctive fuzz, beautifully unique organ, beautiful vocals and some great songs like, so many could not, when I awake and the face, which seem to have rising from the English sixties psych-pop culture, the track follow me, with the beautiful male and female vocals, the cover of the hurtin kind and finally the unlikely door knob with the sharp organ, the exhilaratingly exciting rhythm and of course the no love to give, a little masterpiece that brought to my mind Music Machine and the USA, an incredible song in which when the vocals stop it reduction into a fantastic punkadelic especially towards the end where the guitar solo comes and later the wah wah blow our minds. Too bad, it last just 2.07!!

 Εντάξει, την Fabienne Delsol δεν την γνώριζα. Μας έρχεται από την Γαλλία και αυτό είναι το τάδε άλμπουμ της. Και πραγματικά αυτό το Four είναι μια μικρή αποκάλυψη! Από το τραγούδι που ανοίγει το άλμπουμ το, see how they run, η Delsol μας δίνει το μουσικό της στίγμα Μικρά σε διάρκεια αέρινα ψυχεδελικά ποπ διαμάντια στα οποία διαφαίνεται μια μελαγχολία όμοια με αυτή που εκπέμπανε οι Broadcast! Διακριτικό fuzz, υπέροχα μοναδικό όργανο, όμορφα φωνητικά και ορισμένα καταπληκτικά τραγούδια όπως το see how they run, so many could not, τα when I awake και the face, τα οποία μοιάζουν να ξεπήδησαν κατευθείαν από την εγγλέζικη σίξτις psych-pop κουλτούρα, το follow me με τα όμορφα αντρικά και γυναικεία φωνητικά, η διασκευή στο hurtin kind και τέλος το απίθανο door knob με το επίσης απίθανο κοφτό όργανο, τον κοφτό συναρπαστικό ρυθμό και φυσικά το no love to give, ένα μικρό αριστούργημα το οποίο μου έφερε στο μυαλό τους Music Machine και τους USA, ένα απίστευτο τραγούδι, στο οποίο όταν σταματάνε τα φωνητικά, μεταμορφώνεται σε μια φοβερή punkadelic στιγμή ειδικά προς το τέλος όπου στο σόλο της κιθάρας μπαίνει και wah wah και το απογειώνει. Κρίμα που διαρκεί μόλις 2.07!!

The Ivory Elephant is an Australian band and Stoneface is their second album. In this they have created a psychedelic guitar wall on a solid and powerful blues basis! And they give their mark with the song that opens their album, The Storm, which starts slowly and psychedelically and then transforms into a guitar hard storm! Great is wars, a song that alternates psychedelic with blues sounds. Low expectation is a fascinating and very earnest song, while their two most psychedelic songs are stoneface jamboree and stoneface, the first is a trip to the east, with the sitar giving the rhythm, while the second is closer to the blues references of the band! But what really caught my mind is the roll on with its exquisitely groovy sound.
An album wrapped in guitars, in fuzz, the recording is psychedelic enough and some of the songs are impressive!

Οι Ivory Elephant είναι μια μπάντα από την Αυστραλία και το Stoneface είναι το δευτερο άλμπουμ τους. Σε αυτό έχουν δημιουργήσει ένα κιθαριστικό ψυχεδελικό τείχος πάνω σε ατόφια και δυνατή blues βάση! Και δίνουν το στίγμα τους με το τραγούδι το οποίο ανοίγει το άλμπουμ τους, το storm, το οποίο ξεκινάει αργά και ψυχεδελικά και στη συνέχεια μεταμορφώνεται σε μια κιθαριστική καταιγίδα! Εξίσου καλό είναι και το wars, τραγούδι που εναλλάσσει ψυχεδελικούς με blues ήχους. To low expectation είναι ένα συναρπαστικό και πολύ μπιτάτο τραγούδι, ενώ τα δυο πιο ψυχεδελικά τραγούδια τους είναι τα stoneface jamboree και stoneface, το πρώτο είναι ένα πλατσούρισμα στην ανατολή, με το σιτάρ να δίνει τον ρυθμό, ενώ το δεύτερο είναι πιο κοντά στις blues αναφορές της μπάντας! Αυτό όμως που μου πήρε το μυαλό είναι το roll on με τον έξοχο γκρουβαριστό ήχο του.

Άλμπουμ το οποίο είναι τυλιγμένο στις κιθάρες, στο fuzz, η ηχογράφηση είναι αρκούντως ψυχεδελική και ορισμένα τραγούδια εντυπωσιακά!
