Lost In Tyme
Ύστερα από το 7’’ για την ίδια εταιρία, πριν από ένα χρόνο, οι γκαραζιέρηδες πιτσιρικάδες από την Θεσσαλονίκη επιστρέφουν με το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ τους! Οι Sences ηχογράφησαν12 δικά τους τραγούδια και καμία διασκευή, πολύ θετικό φυσικά γιατί δείχνει την δίψα του γκρουπ να ακουστούν οι δικές του συνθέσεις και όχι να ακουστεί μια, δυο ή τρεις ακόμα διασκευές σε χιλιοπαιγμένα τραγούδια. Καλές οι διασκευές, από τις μπάντες των 80ς άλλωστε μάθαμε τα θρυλικά γκαράζ γκρουπ των σίξτις αλλά πλέον δεν προσφέρουν κάτι αν υπάρχουν σε βινύλιο νέων συγκροτημάτων. Τέλος η πολυλογία, στο ζουμί τώρα. Ακούγοντας τα τραγούδια αυτού του άλμπουμ κατάλαβα ότι σε σχέση με τις άλλες κυκλοφορίες του συμπαθητικού Ναυπακτιώτικου τούτου label, είναι ίσως το βινύλιο που είναι πιο κοντά στον γκαράζ ήχο των σίξτις συγκροτημάτων. Διακρίνεις φυσικά και τον ήχο της αναβίωσης αλλά σε μερικά τραγούδια μπορείς να είσαι σίγουρος ότι ακούς μια αυθεντική σίξτις μπάντα!! Οι mooodιες ας πούμε Either Way, Mirror και η τραγουδάρα Better Than Before έρχονται κατευθείαν από την καρδιά του ’66, ενώ τα Don't Care, She Knocked On My Door, Say Goodbye One More Night παρότι ακούγονται πιο ωμά γκαράζ/πανκ διαθέτουν όμορφες μελωδίες και καταπληκτική farfisa. Αφήστε εμένα όμως να λιώνω το My Girl, το χιτ του άλμπουμ για τα δικά μου αφτιά και φυσικά το ανεπανάληπτο acid/instro με τον κατάλληλο τίτλο Psychosis, μια κομματάρα στην οποία αυτοί οι πιτσιρικάδες κατάφεραν να με κάνουν να θυμηθώ (όχι ότι το έχω ξεχάσει ποτέ) την αντίστοιχη acid/instro κομματάρα Acid Rain των Hidden Peace. Το Psychosis των Sences με χτύπησε το ίδιο δυνατά!!
Δυο κομμάτια τα οποία ενώνουν τις δεκαετίες στις οποίες είχαν ηχογραφηθεί, τα 80ς με τα 20ς.

After the single for the same label, a year ago, these teenagers punkers from Thessaloniki are back with their debut album! The Sences recorded 12 of their own songs and no covers, very positive of course because it shows the thirst to play their own songs and not to playing one, or two more covers of thousand played songs. Covers are great, and we don't forget that from the bands of the 80s we learned the legendary garage groups of the sixties, but now they don't offer anything if they are on vinyl of new bands. . Listening to the songs of this album I realized that in relation to the other releases of this nice label from Nafpaktos city , it is probably the vinyl that is closest to the garage sound of the sixties bands. Of course, you can also hear the sound of the revival, but in some songs you maybe can be sure that you are listening to an original band from 60s!! The tracks with tones of touch of moody sound "Either Way", "Mirror" and the fantastic "Better Than Before" come straight from the heart of '66, while tracks like "Don't Care", "She Knocked On My Door", "Say Goodbye" "One More Night" sounding more raw garage/punk but they have cool melodies and amazing farfisa. But leave me to melt "My Girl", the album's hit for me and of course the inimitable acid/instro aptly titled "Psychosis", a track that these guys managed to make me remember (not that I've forgotten) the corresponding acid/instro track Acid Rain by Hidden Peace. Psychosis by Sences hit me just as hard!! Two tracks that unite the decades in which they were recorded, the 80s and the 20s. Get your copy!
